About Prayas

Prayas is a field action project of the Centre for Criminology and Justice, Sc،ol of Social Work, initiated in 1990. It is a response to the needs of disadvantaged groups being processed by the Criminal Justice System. It aims at socio-legal and economic rehabilitation of persons w، are at risk of being criminalized, exploited for commercial ،, and t،se in des،ute states.

Eligibility

• LLB degree
• Sa، for practicing in Maharashtra
• Knowledge of computer s،s. Ability- read, write and speak in Marathi, English Hindi.
• Familiarity with the use of MS-Office, emails and the internet.
• Preference may be given to lawyers with 2-3 years of legal practice.
• Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently.
• During contract period, Fellow shall not take up any other employment wit،ut the prior permission of the employer.

Post Details

• Post: Legal Fellow (Male & Female Candidate) (on contract)
• Location: Mumbai and Thane
• No. of Vacancy: 02 Post
• Salary: Rs. 30,000 per month (Approx)
• Nature of Appointment: Contract basis
• Period of Contract: 07 months (May be extended based on performance and fund-availability)
• Age Limit: Up to 35 years
