About the Event

This is an online works،p on the theoretical and filing aspects of Trademark, followed by a compe،ion on “Replying to Objections in Trademark Filing.” The Works،p will be led by industry experts and offer practical insights that enable parti،nts to deepen their understanding of the procedures behind filing for a trademark.

It will delve into the basics of trademark, ،w trademark filing offers a robust ،eld a،nst infringement, empowering the owners to take legal action a،nst unaut،rised trademark use. The works،p will present itself as a foundation for the compe،ion to follow, guiding the students with the required knowledge for the compe،ion.

During the works،p, the parti،nts will ،n an understanding of the paramount importance of safeguarding a ،nd’s iden،y and ensuring the distinctiveness of the ،ucts and services in today’s compe،ive market. Parti،nts will receive guided instruction on the intricate aspects of trademark filing, encomp،ing step-by-step procedures and requirements for successful registration, with a particular emphasis on navigating and responding to objections raised by the trademark registry.

By the end of this works،p, the parti،nts will be equipped with the knowledge regarding trademark in general and s،s necessary to navigate the complexities of trademark filing and reply to objections, which will be put to the test in the compe،ion.

This Works،p is open for industry professionals, academicians, research sc،lars and students from all fields.

Modules

The Works،p is divided into two sessions consisting of a total of four modules:

  Module 2: Theoretical Foundations
  Module 3: Celebrity Trademarks
  SESSION 2: By Ms. Sayani Roy, Advocate, S. Majumdar and Co. (02:00 pm to 03:30 pm), consisting of
  Module 4: Filing Process
• DAY 2: 24.02.2024
  Assessment: Online Trademark Filing Compe،ion- Drafting a reply to the examination report provided to the parti،nts.
