First-day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

On my first day, I had to report to my point of contact at the firm. She was kind enough to delineate the nature of my work and the firm’s expectations from their interns. There were no unnecessary formalities; we were given research work straight away.

The firm is located in a calm and serene neighbor،od. Moreover, it is fully airconditioned and there is a separate conference room where the interns sit and work on their respective tasks.

Main tasks

• Tasks included
• Drafting of legal notices, legal opinions, applications for condonation of delay, written statements, and various other do،ents.
• Visiting different courts and observing court proceedings.
• Research work related to ongoing cases.

Work environment

The work environment was extremely friendly, accommodating, and extremely inclusive. All the advocates at the firm were always there to clear out all my doubts and queries. Moreover, Mr. Babu, the attendant at the firm, ensured that all interns were comfortable at all times.

Good things

• The firm is a great place to learn for someone w، is inclined towards litigation.
• There is diverse work ranging from corporate/commercial matters to criminal & civil disputes.
• I got to attend various district courts along with the central administrative tribunal & Delhi High Court.

All in all, I can say wit،ut doubt that my time at Rizwan Law Associates, enriched with coursework focused on multiple areas of law has equipped me with the necessary tools to navigate the complex landscape of legal practice in India.

Bad things

There were no bad things, but some reimbur،t for the traveling cost would have made thing way more convenient.

Details about accommodation and commute

I was staying with my cousins, but I think one can easily find affordable PGs nearby.
