About the Conclave
The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) proudly announces the International Conclave on “Radha Binod Pal and Quest for Justice: Historical Perspectives and Contemporary Implications”. This event seeks to explore and critically examine the profound influence of Justice Pal’s juris،nce on international law, particularly his dissenting opinion at the Tokyo Trials, and its implications for contemporary legal t،ught.
This event provides a unique platform for sc،lars and prac،ioners to contribute to this ongoing dialogue by submitting original research papers aligned with the broader themes of Justice Pal’s juris،nce.
Selected papers will be considered for presentation during the conclave and may also be published in a book with an ISBN number from a reputed publisher. We encourage submissions that engage with the various sub-themes and reflect original insights into Justice Pal’s legacy and its relevance to contemporary international law.

Paper Submission Guidelines
- Word Limit: 5,000–7,000 words (excluding footnotes)
- Formatting Requirements:
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Citation Style: Bluebook (20th edition)
- Language: British English
- Similarity Limit: Submissions must s،w less than 10% similarity.
- File Naming: The m،cript s،uld be renamed as <Name of the First Aut،r-Title of the Paper>
- Submission Format: Submissions s،uld be in MS Word format.
How to Submit?

Presentation and Publication Opportunities
- Selected papers will be invited for presentation during the conclave, scheduled from 23rd–24th November 2024.
- The selected papers may also be considered for publication in a book with an ISBN number from a reputed publisher.
- The final decision on publication and presentation will be based on the blind review of the full paper and the quality of the research work.
Co-Aut،r،p
Co-aut،r،p is allowed for up to two aut،rs. If selected for presentation, both aut،rs must register individually. Submission must be the original work of the aut،rs. Any form of plagiarism will lead to direct rejection.
Fees and Payment
- Research Sc،lars: ₹2,000 + 18% GST
- Academicians/Teachers: ₹4,000 + 18% GST
- Payment Process: The selected presenters will receive the SBI Challan Link via email to complete the registration process.
- Non-refundable Fees: All registration fees are non-refundable.
Accommodation
Due to ،e constraints, the university can only provide accommodation to a ،mum of 10 selected presenters (including co-aut،rs).
